The Economy of Francesco event, which was postponed and moved online because of the coronavirus pandemic, will be held from Nov. 19-21.
Pope Francis himself launched the idea and invited young economists and entrepreneurs from all over the world to share their experiences and ideas on how to catalyze a process of global change to make the economy more equitable, inclusive and sustainable. More than 2,000 men and women have registered to participate.
The original idea was to meet in Assisi, but due to the pandemic, the organizing committee has adapted the program to the new online venue. The Economy of Francesco will include group workshops, panel discussions with keynote speakers, moments of silence and meditation, concerts and more.
Even Pope Francis is expected to make an appearance during the event, which can be followed live on the official website: www.francescoeconomy.org.
