Former president of the European Central Bank, Mario Draghi, will become an ordinary member of the Pontifical Academy for Social Sciences.
Draghi joins this group of experts who advise the pope on global trends. At the academy's headquarters, the Casina Pio IV, Pope Francis has spoken to everyone, from judges and oil company owners, to experts on environmental issues.
Pope Francis has also appointed two other experts. One is Professor Kokumre Adetokunbo, from the University of Benin in Nigeria. She is an expert on human trafficking. The other is Chilean Pedro Morandé Court, an expert on the sociology of the family in Latin America.
