All the way from the Vatican, Pope Francis is sending five respirators to Romania, three to Madrid and some to the Italian town, Lecce. It is how Jorge Mario Bergoglio is celebrating his name day, on the feast of St. George.
The papal almoner, Cardinal Konrad Krajewski, will transport them to Lecce himself.

“These ventilators are leaving for Romania, as a sign, like a hug from the Holy Father in this difficult situation for the whole world. The Holy Father sends this strong message on his name day.”
Cardinal Krajewski has been carrying out many charitable works during this time on the pope's behalf. He gives food to the poor and homeless in Rome, around the Vatican and train station. He likewise has given yogurt and milk to two congregations of sisters who had many cases of coronavirus in their convents.
