Pope Francis began his daily Mass at Casa Santa Marta by praying for pregnant women, who are nervous about the future.

I wish that today we pray for the women who are expecting. Pregnant women who will become mothers and are restless, they worry. One question, 'What kind of world will my child live in?' Let us pray for them. May the Lord give them the courage to carry these children, with the confidence that it will certainly be a different world, but it will always be a world the Lord loves so much.
Due to COVID-19's presence in hospitals, many women are forced to give birth with only one other person in the room, often without their mother or husband.
