This hotel in Rimini was transformed into a shelter for people suffering from the coronavirus. Those in recovery can stay until they are able to return to their own homes. It's run by the Pope John XXIII Community, founded by Fr. Oreste Benzi.

“The community was contacted by the government of Rimini and by the region's health authorities. They were looking for a good place to care for people in quarantine, who had tested positive for coronavirus, but who wouldn't have the necessary care at home. The community opened its doors to give an answer to 48 people, as we have 48 available rooms and apartments.”
Each of their disinfected rooms can house one person at a time. Each space includes a single bed, basic furniture, sheets, towels and a fully-equipped bathroom. Each also offers a spectacular view of the sea, which will surely brighten the days of those recovering.
Staff members aim to make patients in recovery feel at home. They hope to fill all the rooms soon, though they foresee some inconveniences.

“There's a big emergency. There's a big problem with transporting patients. We're aware that ambulances and first-aid transportation units are working 24/7. Nevertheless, we expect to be at full capacity in the next few days.”
It's a place where people will surely be able to recover in peace, without losing the hope of hugging their loved ones again.
