During Mass at Casa Santa Marta, Pope Francis spoke about human commerce. He said there are people, even today, who want to serve God and money and end up covertly exploiting others.
POPE FRANCIS
This is the option, and many people want to serve God and money. This can't be done. In the end, they pretend to serve God so that they can serve money. Hidden exploiters are socially impeccable, but under the table, they do business, even with people. They don't care. Human exploitation consists in selling one's neighbor.
During his homily, he thought of the many Judases of today, who exploit others. He also spoke about the 'little Judas' inside each one of us, saying each person has the capacity to betray, out of love for money or material goods.
