The smallest state in the world hasn't escaped the coronavirus.
There are now seven confirmed cases among employees of the Holy See and citizens of Vatican City. One of them lived in Casa Santa Marta, Pope Francis' residence.
The latest case is that of an employee who has been in isolation since mid-March. His wife was infected with the virus at the Italian hospital where she worked.
The virus hasn't even let the College of Cardinals escape unscathed.
Two cardinals have tested positive for the virus. One of them is the vicar of the diocese of Rome, Angelo de Donatis. The other is Philippe Ouédraogo, archbishop of Uagadugú, in Burkina Faso.
Cardinal of Prague, Dominik Duka, also decided to self-isolate just in case, since he had been feeling ill.
The pope hasn't cut back his schedule. However, he abides by strict security measures and is in direct contact with only his closest collaborators.
