During Mass, the pope remembered the Congregation of the Daughters of Charity, founded by St. Vincent de Paul.
These nuns care for the sick at the Vatican Dispensary, and they always attend the pope’s Mass at Santa Marta. Pope Francis called them to renew their commitment to God.
POPE FRANCIS
“I would like to offer today’s Mass for them, for this congregation, which has always worked with the sick, the poor, as it’s done here for 98 years. I would like to pray also for the nuns who are working in this moment, caring for the sick, risking their own lives and giving their lives.”
