Moshe Kantor, president of the European Jewish Congress, was very pleased to be able to meet with Pope Francis.
They previously met three years ago, on the eve of the International Day of Commemoration in Memory of the Victims of the Holocaust. The encounters seemed to have left a mark on President Moshe Kantor.

As a gift, the pope received a work by Jewish artist Viktor Pivovarov on behalf of Kantor.
The president belongs to the World Jewish Congress, representing more than 100 Jewish communities around the world. On their website, they closely watch each appeal Pope Francis makes to combat anti-Semitism, like this one in November 2019.
