During his homily at Casa Santa Marta, Pope Francis explained that God will judge us according to how we judge others. That's why he invited Christians to treat their neighbors with generosity and love.
POPE FRANCIS
If my way of measuring is worldly, and I only use the Christian faith—yes, I do everything, I go to Mass, but I live in a worldly way—I will be judged with that same measure. Let us ask the Lord for the grace to live in a Christian way, and especially to not be afraid of the cross nor humiliation, because this is the path He has chosen to save us.
The pope also recommended reading the Beatitudes to learn what it means to live like a Christian.
