“I think that music is a form of therapy. I sing to some of my patients, especially the newborns. I use music to spread hope, faith and patience. I can see that it brings them peace.”
She began singing in her church after participating in a mission trip. Today, she has a single out called, “Dame valor,” or “Give Me Courage.”

“When I was 21, I was doing a full-time mission of volunteer work with the group, 'Apostles of the Word.' This experience made me live my encounter with God in a more profound way.” I said to Him, 'Lord, I offer you my voice and song, use them as You see fit.'”
After living this, Alejandra faced two difficult experiences: the death of her father and her brother's sickness.

“My brother recovered thanks to many peoples' prayers and the spiritual companionship of our Church. In turn, I lived closely with them throughout this process. This is what inspired me to become a nurse.”
She's added music to a fundamental part of her patients' treatments. This is her unique way of combining medicine for the body and the soul.

I have been given everything in a providential way. God arranged things so I can do both things at the same time. I love my job as a nurse, but am also very passionate about singing to Him. What more can I do than offer Him what I have received from Him?”
Alejandra has seen how people become closer to God thanks to her music. She states that a singer's greatest achievement is to help those who need it, whether it's from a hospital bed or from one of her performances.
