Paul VI Hall was transformed into a grand music auditorium. It hosted the Vatican's traditional Christmas concert. Participants included stars like Lionel Richie, whose 70 years of age don't seem to weigh him down.
Susan Boyle, winner of Britain's Got Talent, lit up the stage with the song that made her famous back in April, 2009. It was “I Dreamed a Dream” from the “Les Miserables” musical.
Among Italian and international artists, Leo Rojas could not fail to make an appearance. The Ecuadorian artist brought music from the Amazon, the region which was the focus of the synod in Rome last October.
The money raised by the event will go to ecological and social projects in the Amazon via two entities: the Don Bosco Valdocco Onlus Missions and the Pontifical Foundation Scholas Occurrentes.
