Pope Francis received the credentials of five new ambassadors to the Holy See. They represent Seychelles, Mali, Andorra, Kenya, Latvia and Niger.
The pope encouraged them to promote honest dialogue in a diplomatic context.
POPE FRANCIS
“In a world unfortunately marked by civil, regional and international conflict, social division and inequality, it is essential to take up a constructive and creative dialogue based on honesty and truth, with the objective of promoting greater fraternal solidarity among individuals and in the global community.”
He also told them the Catholic Church is committed to collaborating with everyone responsible for promoting the common good.
Not residing in Rome, the ambassadors were unable to hold the traditional private meeting with the pope.
