Pope Francis is the first Latin-American and Argentinian pope. As Peter’s successor, he has travelled through most of the continent, but not to his native land. His fellow countrymen remain hopeful that they will see him in Argentinian territory.

“We hope he goes. We hope he goes. We are waiting for him everywhere with open arms. He’s gone to Brazil, the closest he’s been. We hope he will be with us at the end of the year or next year.”

“I think everything has its time. He has his commitments at the Vatican, his personal commitments, and commitments to the whole world. I think that he’ll do it sooner or later.”
In the meantime, they travel to Rome to participate in the pope’s activities and to pray for the situation in Argentina.

“It touched our hearts. It made me tear up. The first time was like being in a fantasy. My first time in Europe has been incredible. It feels incredible.”
They also take advantage of being in Christianity’s heart to pray for their country.

They go home feeling hopeful, full of energy and faith that they will soon see Pope Francis in Argentina.
