The Vatican has sponsored this rosary combining faith and new technology. It connects to mobile phones via Bluetooth to help people pray digitally.

MSGR. LUCIO RUIZ
Secretary, Dicastery for Communication
“We live in a digital culture. Being digital is not a tool, but a space in which to move. It is a space in which people, especially young people, live today.”

The rosary is activated by the Sign of the Cross. It digitally keeps track of prayers and offers special reflections through phones. It reminds users when it is time to pray the rosary and notifies them each time the pope asks for prayers for a special intention.

It is linked to the Worldwide Prayer Network and the social prayer network “Click to Pray.” It was designed by the Taiwanese company, GTI.

JERRY KAO
Director of GTI
“It helps you pray the rosary.”

FRÉDÉRIC FORNOS
Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network
“There are many ways (to pray the rosary); this is one among others. It’s not the only one.”
“This is more for young people who want to learn how to pray and who don’t really know how. It is a way to remind you to pray because it reminds you three times a day. It also has all the prayers in Click to Pray.”

JUAN DELLA TORRE
CEO and Founder of La Machi Communication
“I never thought we would innovate with this prayer, which is so old and so loved by the Church. We were able to do it without losing any of its richness or tradition.”

The proposal is to use this rosary to pray especially for world peace.

For now, it is sold online for 99 euros, a little more than 100 dollars.

Besides helping to pray, it counts steps taken and calories burned each day. It is a rosary that takes care of both the soul and the body.
