During Mass in Casa Santa Marta, Pope Francis reflected on the significance of Sunday for Christians.
He said that it is a feast day in which the Word of God has the leading role.

The feast of Sunday cannot be understood without the Word of God. Do I pay attention to the Word of God? Do I let it touch my heart, or do I stand there staring at the ceiling thinking of other things, and the Word goes in one ear and out the other?
Pope Francis has recently instituted a Sunday dedicated to the Word of God. It will be a special feast in which Christians will contemplate the importance of the Holy Scriptures in the Church.
