The pope is closely following the UN Climate Change Summit, and has sent a message of support. He calls for honesty, responsibility and courage to apply the Paris Agreement and stop the climate emergency.

POPE FRANCIS
It is necessary to ask whether there is a real political will to allocate greater human, financial and technological resources to mitigate the negative effects of climate change and to help the poorest and most vulnerable populations, who suffer the most.

The pope warns we still have time to stop the disaster.

According to experts, there are only 15 months to reverse the problem. After that, it will be too late to stop global warming.
