With this comment about his quick steps, Pope Francis received the bishops from Angola and Sao Tome Principe in the Vatican for their ad limina visit.
The 18 prelates smiled during the entire meeting. Pope Francis encouraged them and listened to them. He asked them to speak freely.
The pope then gave them each a pectoral cross and texts from his pontificate. One of them was his document on Catholic and Muslim fraternity.
“The document on Islam.”
“Thanks so much, Your Holiness.”
Angola is an African country visited by the last two popes. John Paul II was there in 1992, and Benedict XVI traveled there in 2009.
