After concluding his last event in Blaj, Romania, Pope Francis went to Sibiu airport to prepare for his flight back to Rome.
There the farewell ceremony was attended by the Romanian president, Klaus Iohannis and his wife, where they had a brief private meeting before the pope departed.
Pope Francis made sure to say goodbye to all the people lining the path to the airplane.
His three-day trip was an intense one, as he addressed varies groups, beatified seven Greek-Catholic bishops and even apologized to a gypsy community on behalf of the whole Church.
