The pope has met with nine new ambassadors from various countries of very different traditions. Amongst them were the ambassadors of Thailand, Mozambique and Norway.

“It's a great honor to present you the letters from King Harald.”

The pope asked them to help the most vulnerable in society. Furthermore, he spoke about the importance of fraternity among nations as benefiting all people.

POPE FRANCIS
'It is very encouraging to see the efforts being made in the international community to overcome situations of armed conflict and create paths of peace, and to see how fraternal dialogue is indispensable to achieve this precious goal.”

The pope recalled that “dialogue, understanding, a culture of tolerance, acceptance of others and living together would help to reduce economic, social, political and environmental problems.”

At present, the Holy See is one of the States with the most diplomatic relations with other countries, no less than 183 in total.
