Pope Francis met with the Papal Foundation. It is is an organization that provides financial support to the Catholic Church. Since the 1990s they have provided $156 million of grants and scholarships for the education of leaders, as well as the most vulnerable across the world.
During his speech, Pope Francis expressed his joy and gratitude for the support they provide to him and the Church.

“Through your support of various educational, charitable and apostolic projects, as well as the scholarships made available to lay men and women, those living the consecrated life and priests, you give witness to the untiring efforts of the Church to promote the integral development of the human family.”
He said in a world sadly marked by violence, poverty, and often indifference their generosity brings the Gospel message of hope and mercy. The pope encouraged them to continue helping the Church's charitable outreach to the most needy.
