Videos showing attacks in Libya such as this one, from Doctors Without Borders, have greatly concerned the pope.
POPE FRANCIS
“I appeal for the women, children and sick people especially to be evacuated as soon as possible through humanitarian corridors.”
During the Regina Coeli prayer Pope Francis did not overlook this difficult situation. He also did not forget those affected by the floods in South Africa, which left at least 60 people dead and 1,000 displaced.
The pope also recalled the beatification of four martyrs at the weekend. They were killed during turbulent times in Argentina in the 1970s.
POPE FRANCIS
“These martyrs of faith were persecuted for the sake of justice and evangelical charity. They are an example and their intercession should support particularly those who work for a more just and supportive society.'
'Let us all give a round of applause for these new blessed.”
Last Sunday was also the day of Divine Mercy. Pope Francis recommended Christians to look and contemplate on Jesus Christ crucified recognizing the call for one to repent from their sins.
