Although winter is still not over in Rome, the General Audience has returned to St. Peter's Square. This means that some lucky people are able to accompany Pope Francis on the popemobile.

POPE FRANCIS
“It seems winter is ending and we are now returning to St. Peter's Square, welcome.”

The pope explained the seven invocations in the “Our Father” prayer. He said the first three focus on contemplating God's greatness; and the last four on one's supplications to Him. He stressed the importance in trusting God; and remembering that He knows one better than they knowthemselves.

POPE FRANCIS
“God is like those mothers who only need one glance to understand everything about their children. Whether they are happy or sad.”

Finally, Pope Francis examined the first invocation of the “Our Father:” “hallowed by thy name.” He said it contains a quality all Christians should imitate: holiness.

POPE FRANCIS
“God is holy. However, if our life is not holy, there is a great incoherence. God's holiness must be reflected in our actions, in our lives.”

The pope has resumed his usual schedule after an intense week presiding over the meeting with the Council of Cardinals; and the Vatican Summit against sexual abuses of minors in the Church.
