'Both Maria and I created 'Idea Libre' with the idea that through education everyone get out of poverty. Our main objective is to reach all children without access to education and offer it to them.'
At the moment, her NGO has funded schooling for 100 children from Chumvi, Kenya and a plate of food everyday. In this village, poverty forces children to eat every two days.

'María and I, who are both partners in the association, work so much every day. It is true that people are not aware of all the work that it takes. From organizing an event, to getting a partner, to social networks and getting people to follow you...'
She assures that the world of cinema and her work in Idea Libre have absolutely nothing to do with one another. Yet, between the two she has managed to find her purpose and a balance.

'I believe a lot in people. I trust a lot in human beings. Since I also am a human being, I believe that I have to help others. Today I have proof of it. There are more good than bad people, who have the desire and ability to help. In the end my faith is looking a person in the eyes and understanding them.'
This is just the beginning of a long journey in which Sandra hopes to invest all her effort and dedication. That way, the children of Chumvi, Kenya can have an education that will help them pursue their dreams in a very positive future.
