As it is typical for WYD, the hosting country has prepared this portable pilgrim kit for those thousands upon thousands of young people registered for Panama in January.
It is important to keep oneself well prepared for sunny panama. So a cap and a roll up water bottle have been included to avoid getting sun burnt and thirsty.
Three rosaries have also been added: one for the owner and the others to give to someone in Panama and back home. They are to be used to pray for peace.
Additionally, these tags, shirts and wristbands with the words of Our Lady “Be it done unto me according to thy word,” are included for the pilgrims to wear during the WYD events. They will also receive a multipurpose scarf.
Finally, in the spirit of Pope Francis' environmental call to protect “our common home,” a biodegradable bag for pilgrims to dispose of their waste has also be included.
The organizers want the protection of the environment to be an important theme for WYD and have even included waste management for the events.
