Carrying a breviary around can be difficult at times and also takes up a lot of space. This is why the Italian priest Paolo Padrini created the app “iBreviary.” It is a digital breviary that can be used on one's cell phone, tablet or computer.
It contains all the texts for the Liturgical Year, main prayers for the sacraments and information about religious celebrations.
If you do not have time to read, this application has an audio mode, so there is no excuse to miss the daily reading.
The iBreviary also has a notes section. This allows one to write down Gospel phrases they like the most, read them at another time or even share them with friends.
If going on a trip without Internet access, iBreviary also allows one to download the readings for up to 15 days offline.
It is available in more than 10 languages, including the original language for the missal.
