In his homily at Casa Santa Marta, Pope Francis invited people to reflect on the end of their life, which will be an end but also a beginning.

“It'll do us good this week to think of the end. If the Lord were to call me today, what would I do, what would I say to Him, what fruit of my life would I show Him? The thought of the end helps us to move forward; it is not a static thought. It is a thought that advances us because virtue and hope carries it forward. Yes, there will be an end, but that end will be an encounter, an encounter with the Lord.”
Finally, the pope explained that it is good to think about the end of one's life. He recalled that the end will be, in reality, an encounter of mercy, joy and happiness.
