The investigators of the human remains found in the Vatican nunciature in Italy a few weeks ago, think they do not belong to Emanuela Orlandi. She disappeared in 1983 and was the daughter of a Vatican clerk.
Even so, the forensic team has not closed the case and will submit the remains to undergo a Carbon-14 test.
The main hypothesis is that the bones found in Vatican territory would be more than 100 years old.
The current nunciature is built on a cemetery, this would support the theory that the remains belong to a person who had been buried there.
