As part of the World Day of the Poor, Pope Francis will eat lunch with around 3000 people in the Vatican on Sunday.
The lunch will be provided by Hilton Hotel in Rome. It will be held after the pope has celebrated Mass with the most needy in St. Peter's Basilica.
This is the second year Pope Francis has held a lunch with the poor and more invitations have been increased this time.
World Day of the Poor hopes to further promote the need to be more attentive and at the service of the marginalized in society.
As a way of encouraging more this call for service to the disadvantaged, the Vatican has also placed a tent hospital on St. Peter's Square. It has been open throughout the week to provide medical service to the homeless.
