This year, the Vatican has decided to host their most famous exhibition of nativities in Rome.

It is called '100 presepi' and it's been held for 42 years in a well-known city hall.

Given its notoriety, and for the tradition not to be lost, the Vatican has taken it on. This Christmas, pilgrims visiting the smallest state in the world, will enjoy these unique works of art.

It was the dream of Mariacarla Menaglia, the one in charge of continuing this family tradition, to take the exhibition to the Vatican.

Last year, the show gathered 152 mangers from different parts of the world. This year, they hope to surpass this number, making it the most important Christmas exhibition in Italy, and perhaps become the most important in the world.

It will open on December 7, and will remain open until January 13.

The Vatican has asked artists who would like to participate, to present their works on the website www.100presepi.it to participate in this historic event.
