The pope met in the Vatican with a Japanese association of delegates that promotes culture and solidarity.
POPE FRANCIS
“You wish to show that religion, culture and economy can work together peacefully to create a more humane world marked by an integral ecology.”
It was a cordial meeting in which they were surprised...
POPE FRANCIS
“And taking advantage of your visit, I would like to announce my willingness to visit Japan next year. I hope I can do so.”
The Japanese brought a letter to the pope. It was a handwritten letter that they unfolded before his eyes and read to him.
Pope Francis has always shown great interest in Japan. In fact, when he was young and became a Jesuit his idea was to leave for this country, but he could not because he became seriously ill and his superiors prevented him from doing so.
