There are some people who have the ability to show the rest of the world how to get the most out of life. One of them is Daniele. Now, his passion and commitment to story-telling have taken form in a tangible way, a book. “Anche noi possiamo fare,” or “We can do it, too” is a book in which Daniele wants to send a message – there are no limits.

“People with serious disabilities are also people who can do everything, anything we want. This is the message.”

SABRINA FERRI
Co-author, “We can do it, too”
“People have told us this book has to be in bookstores, schools and other places to make the public understand the meaning of disability.”

Daniele's dream has come true thanks to the help of an irreplaceable lifelong friend, Sabrina Ferri, who is a journalist. She put the story Daniele had imagined into words.

Co-author, “We can do it, too”
'It's a title full of hope. It makes you see that people with disabilities can do many things contrary to popular belief. From my point of view, it's a book that serves as a lesson for everyone because it allows us to see in difficult times, when we may get down, we have to keep going, fighting and moving forward with courage.”

It's a half-biographical, half-fictional book that tells the love story of a couple wanting to have a child and the story of a young disabled person.

“I wanted to make a book with a story not only about disabled people, but also create a lighter story at the same time.”

Disability is not a word that determines Daniele's life. The title of his book is a declaration of intent by someone who, although he has had a more difficult time than others, has not let himself be intimidated by obstacles. Without a doubt, two of his biggest supporters are his parents, Giada and Bruno, who have never given up.

GIADA
Daniele's mother
“We have faced life trying to help him however possible, and this was the result.”

BRUNO
Daniele's father
“We didn't stop to think too much about why this happened to our child. We worked on it and tried to ensure he lived a decent life thanks to us and those close to us.”

By living a life as normal as possible, Daniele has been able to seize every opportunity.

Daniele's mother
“He's joyful, he interacts with everyone. He's good, generous and, even though he has his own problems, he takes care of everyone else's problems.”

Daniele has gone to primary and secondary school; he's traveled; he's played sports and even composed music.

Although the challenges continue to be great, the whole family knows to never give up, and there's no better expression to sum up that attitude than one from Daniele's book – Love overcomes all.
