In his prayer intentions for August, the pope asks for prayers for families because they are “treasures” that must be protected. Precisely, World Meeting of Families will be held in Dublin this month.
Francis explains,“The pace of current life, stress, work pressure, and also the lack of attention from institutions can put families at risk.”
He also recalls that “it is not enough to talk, but it is necessary to promote its structure and develop its role in society with a good family policy.”
The pope asks the great economic and political powers to protect the family as the treasure of humanity.
