Pope Francis will only have one public audience in July. It will be on the 31st, Tuesday, at 6 p.m. local time.
The pope will meet with more than 60,000 altar boys from 18 countries, most of them from Germany. They come to Rome to participate in a pilgrimage organized by the International Association of Altar Servers, “Coetus Internationalis Ministratium.”
This meeting is not a new one. Pope Francis has already met with them in the past. He urged them to take advantage of their proximity to Jesus during liturgical celebrations.
POPE FRANCIS
August 4, 2015
“Knowing Him in the Eucharist, your service at the altar, enables you to open yourselves to others, to journey together, to set demanding goals and to find the strength to achieve them.”
After this audience, the Holy Father will resume his usual schedule of public meetings in St. Peter. Beginning in August, he will preside over the Wednesday General Audiences, in which thousands of people from all over the world participate.
