President, National Council of Laity (Venezuela)
“This work fundamentally involves attention to so many Venezuelans who, for example, require humanitarian aid and support today. When I speak of the Church, I'm not only talking about the pastors, bishops, priests and local churches. I mean the Venezuelan in the various fields in which he or she works and doing social work where it's necessary.”
In Rome, Febres-Cordero has prepared an action plan for implementing the Laudato si' encyclical in her country, as her organization aims to remind the solution to the environmental crisis depends on all sectors of the population.
