Google will doodle the founder of the Big Bang theory, Fr. Georges Lemaître, on July 18th in celebration of his 124th birthday.
Lemaître, Belgian priest and physicist, famously proposed the idea that the universe was constantly expanding from a single point. This would become known as the Big Bang Theory.
Perhaps the best compliment Lemaître ever recieved came from famous physicist Albert Einstein, who said 'This is the most beautiful and satisfactory explanation of creation to which I have ever listened'.
