Valentín Aparicio is a Spanish priest who posts Gospel commentary on YouTube. To date, he has 1,300 views, but this priest is satisfied, as he believes he has found a quick, efficient way to reach new people.

Each video lasts five minutes and is promoted on social networks. Villa says the Gospel must be spread through any and all channels available.

“We have discovered that sending audio messages or videos with the Sunday homily or commentary on the Gospel are very fruitful because people receive it, watch it and reflect on it throughout the day or week. They don't have to search for it online, they don't have to go anywhere. Rather, they've received it via WhatsApp, so it's very practical.”

Aparicio has now published more than 20 videos, and the response he receives inspires him to continue the initiative, as he thinks it's an original way of learning about the Gospel.

“I sometimes thought, many times, lay people are looking for something more. Not just a specific homily, but rather also an interpretative formation. This is a strange word, but exegesis means explanation of the Bible.”

The videos can be found on the radio-television channel of the Diocese of Toledo, Spain, the platform for this YouTuber priest.
