According to the UN Refugee Agency, more than 10,000 refugees have already arrived in Italy this year. To make their transition easier, a new app directs them to the relevant services.
The MigrAdvisor app was developed by Caritas Italy in collaboration with the U.S. Embassy to Italy. Using geolocalization, the platform identifies the nearest embassies, police stations, post offices, consular offices and other aid centers.
In addition, MigrAdvisor provides advice in the case of risk situations, such as abuse or exploitation. Lastly, it includes various emergency telephone numbers.
The app is currently available in English, French, Arabic and Italian and can be downloaded on both Apple and Android devices.
