During Holy Week, those Catholics wanting to say the Stations of the Cross just like a saint will now be able to do so. Saint John Paul II's version is one of more than 20 included in the iViaCrucis app.
The app begins with a brief introduction to the Stations and explains their importance. Users can then find the text for the Way of the Cross as it's seen in the Bible.
Later, one has the opportunity to choose among various saints, such as Francis of Assisi or Alphonsus Ligouri. These sections include personal meditations on the Stations followed by the scripts themselves.
The iViaCrucis app is available for both Apple and Android devices. While preparing for Easter Sunday, Catholics can reflect on Christ's Passion and Death in the same way as their role models.
