Sr. Bernadette Moriau suffered from severe paralysis and couldn't walk since 1987. However, following a pilgrimage to Lourdes, she was healed on July 11, 2008.

“I could surprisingly move without pain. My foot that was twisted fell into place. I went to find a sister and told her, 'Look what's happening to me.' I cried for days. I wondered what had happened to me because I couldn't imagine something like that happening to me. I had prayed a lot for the sick, but I had never asked for a cure. I had never had that idea, I thought I would be like this for life.”
Following 10 years of studies, doctors concluded the nun's cure was unexplainable based on current scientific knowledge.
Thus, the diocese has decided to officially recognize the miracle through a press release on the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes on February 11. It's the 70th miracle officially acknowledged since 1858, the year of the apparitions.
