During his homily at Casa Santa Marta, Pope Francis reminded preaching not followed by practice is empty. The pope said the appeal of faith is a community where love is evident.
POPE FRANCIS
“Today in some parish, one goes and hears what someone says about another person, about this one, about that one... instead of saying how they love each other, it makes you want to say, 'Look how they criticize each other.' Be an example. 'Look, this person never speaks badly of that person, this one does this charity work, that girl goes to visit sick people.'”
The Holy Father said that attitude helps people understand the strength of faith, of following Jesus' footsteps.
