This is a group of 37 Vietnamese. They live in California and have come to St. Peter's Square to be close to Pope Francis, though it's not the first time they've seen him.

“We are from a Vietnamese Catholic Church.”
The first time they saw the pope was in Fatima on May 13, 2017, during his visit to Portugal for the centennial anniversary of the apparitions of the Blessed Mother. After that pilgrimage, the group decided to return to Europe to see Pope Francis again in person.

“This is my first time here and I feel a lot of blessing. Everything here feels really holy, a holy place. FLASH I was near the pope. He was right in front of me. I was able to videotape and take a picture of him. It was amazing. I can bring this home to my family and show my kids.”

“The message that we received from the pope is that charity to the people is important. We are living in a world now with many differences, but we also need to be faithful to the teaching of the Church and the Lord Jesus Christ. It is so exciting to see the pope in the morning. I feel very peaceful. I wanted to try to be closer to him, but I couldn't. We feel very peaceful and grateful to be able to see the pope.”
This is how this group of Vietnamese ended their stay in Rome. They return home very happy, and with Pope Francis' blessing in the General Audience.
