During the month of October the pope asks Christians not to forget to pray for the protection of the rights and dignity of all workers.
This is one of the themes the pontiff has spoken about on several occasions throughout his pontificate. Pope Francis is not oblivious to the drama of unemployment rates that in recent years has exceeded 20 percent in some countries.
'We should always remember the dignity and rights of those who work, condemn situations in which that dignity and those rights are violated, and help to ensure authentic progress by man and society,' the pope said in the video.
