After visiting the tomb of Primo Mazzolari, the pope prays at the grave of Lorenzo Milani. He is buried in the small town of Barbiana, near Florence. ;
Pope Francis concludes his 'pilgrimage' to the tombs of two controversial priests of the first half of the 20th century, Primo Mazzolari and Lorenzo Milani.
The former strongly objected Mussolini, and the latter was a firm advocate of conscientious objection and the importance of education for the poor. ;
