In his morning homily at Casa Santa Marta, Pope Francis recalled that Jesus' love is the only infinite truth, quoting the day's Gospel phrase 'As the Father has loved me, so I have loved you.â?
POPE FRANCIS
'There are other loves. The world itself offers many other loves: love of money for example, vanity, boastfulness, pride, love of power which can even lead to unjust actions to achieve more power. Also, there are other measures of love. To love halfway, this is not love. To care is one thing, and to love is another.â?
He concluded by saying that Christians should asks for the gifts of joy and love, because the 'Christian mission is to give people joy.â?

'We may ask: why do you remind us of this? Because the Lordâ??s joy is in you and your joy must be complete. Jesus teaches us the way of love, of having an open heart, of loving without measure, putting other kinds of love aside... Love and joy are gifts we must ask the Lord for.â?
