At his morning homily at Casa Santa Marta, Pope Francis emphasized that despite life's trials, God's peace is always real and present.
POPE FRANCIS
'There is suffering, there are sicknesses, there are so many bad things, there are wars... but that peace from within, which is a gift, is not lost, but it goes on bearing the Cross and suffering. Peace without the cross is not the peace of Jesus.'
He concluded with a quote by St. Augustine, in which he said that 'the life of a Christian is a walk between the world's persecutions and the consolation of God.â? In both the good and the bad, one must 'never lose interior peace.â?
