This year, like every year, the pope baptizes several children in the Sistine Chapel for the feast of the Baptism of Jesus.
In 2016 he baptized 26 babies, 13 boys and 13 girls, whose parents are Vatican employees. During his homily, the pope reminded parents that faith is the best legacy they can leave with their children.
