The Jubilee of the Homeless marked the last great event during the Year of Mercy, whose closure will take place in a matter of days.

During this week the pope ;will continue to preach from the Casa Santa Marta chapel in his daily Masses and also from St. Peter's Square on Wednesday, at the General Audience.

Saturday, the eve of the closing of the Jubilee, will be an important day: the pope will create 19 new cardinals, 13 of them eligible to vote in an eventual conclave. They come from 11 countries, seven of which were not represented in the College of Cardinals.

Sunday, on the feast of Christ the King, Pope Francis will definitively close the Holy Door of St. Peter's Basilica and end the Jubilee of Mercy during Mass. It will be the first Mass with the new cardinals.
