A new documentary, created to coincide with the Jubilee of Mercy, allows viewers to personally meet the apostles of mercy: St. Faustina, John Paul II and even the current Pope Francis, who all work to spread the same message of mercy.

'The idea of making the documentary, The Face of Mercy, is connected with the great need of sharing with the people the great need of mercy, the message of hope, which really changes lives of many. We simply wanted to join the mission of St. Faustina and John Paul II and Pope Francis, helping the people to get to know the mystery of God's mercy more.â?
Narrated by Jim Caviezel, 'The Face of Mercyâ? spreads this message to the world through testimonies including a former-NFL linebacker who left football to show mercy to the homeless, a priest who used to be a drug dealer, a widow who forgave her husband's killer and a baseball player who chose religious life over the MLB.
These real-life situations present obstacles that prevent many in the world today from truly understanding the message of mercy.

'The more often I speak to the people and the more often I face their problems, their difficulties they need to handle in their daily life, the more I see how brutal is the world we live in.â?
This call to care about people and practice showing Christ's mercy to others is evidently intermingled throughout each story, coinciding with the message Pope Francis has sent out to the world during this Year of Mercy.

'It's important to share it with the world. It's very easy, you know. Actually the Divine Mercy message is very easy, everyone can understand it. But, if we don't talk about it, if we don't share it, then even the easiest message will stay somewhere aside and left alone and won't change the world.â?
While this message might be easy to share, it's certainly not easy to live daily, which is why the stories woven throughout the documentary exist as examples for how people can practice mercy each and every day.
