For Catholic voters, the choice between Trump or Clinton is a undeniably difficult one.
The Republican candidate says he will permit the torture of suspected terrorists and the killing of their families. The Democratic candidate, on the other hand, is a strong promoter of gender ideology and abortion.

'Who is going to be the best to defend marriage? Who is going to be best to defend the family? Who is going to be the best to defend conscience, and freedom and especially religious freedom? Who is going to be best to defend the freedom of the Church today in society? And this is a crucial moment for this election because there is quite a bit of difference between the two candidates regarding this issues.'
Hillary's exposed emails reveal an orchestrated campaign to introduce gender ideology into the Church from within; like a Trojan horse. Organizations with Catholic names were created with the objective to spread ideas within the Church against the hierarchy, to thus promote a revolution from within. ;
On the other side, Donald Trump, does not fall far behind. He personally received a reproach from the pope for his idea of constructing a wall on the Mexico-U.S. border. ;

'A person who only thinks about building walls and ;does not focus on building bridges is not a Christian. This is not the Gospel. In regards to voting and not voting, I will not get involved. I'm just saying that this man that is saying this is not a Christian, if he has really said all of these things. Until then, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.'

'A lot of people today in this election in the United States are disappointed by the two candidates. They would prefer to have another choice. But there is a responsibility that one takes take into the electoral process, in which each one could decide in conscience to not to vote as a kind of protest, but it would be in fact a lack of responsibility just to say, I'm not going to vote just because it's an effort, I don't have enough time, I'm kind of lazy about it, or I don't really like the candidates. One should take the process seriously even if one is unhappy with the two candidates.'
As for the elements that resonate with Catholic teachings, Hillary Clinton is a strong advocate for the protection of the environment, while Trump has promised to lower taxes on families.
However, according to the polls, both candidates are the worst ranked in recent decades by the American people, which is worrisome because one of the two will soon be president of the United States.
